3. Finally we seal the area with a sealant. The sealant protects the surface area of the concrete. It prevents staining that occurs when soils penetrate into the porous concrete.

The sealent forms a film on concrete that is resistant to abrasion and repels vegetable and fatty soils. It also prevents the growth of micro vegetation. In addition it brightens the natural colour of the concrete and adds to the concrete curing process.
